Leroy "Floyd" Griffin
January 15, 1949 to July 13, 2009
Who left us way to soon, on Monday, July 13, 2009. Beloved husband of Georgann (nee Spicer); loving father of Michael Griffin, Rae Ann Crutchfield, Denise (Brian) Oehler and the late Meredith Bryson; dear grandfather of 11; dearest son of Margie Braun (nee Whitaker) and the late Charles E. Griffin; dear brother of Derrick (Angela) Griffin, Shiela (Tim) Ellison and Dana (Tom) Oerther; dear brother-in-law of Cullen (Lourdes) Logan; our dear uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Floyd was a well known musician in the St. Louis area and retired from Plumbers Local 562. He was an avid supporter of animal rights and the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue and Humane Society of Missouri.
Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. (at Butler Hill) Friday, July 17, 11 a.m. Interment Green Hill Cemetery, Piedmont, MO at 3 p.m. Visitation Thursday 3-9 p.m.

We will miss you.
Please keep Georgann Griffin and her family in your prayers through the coming days. Georgann is the Co State Director of Missouri and was instrumental in rescuing all of those poor little HSMO puppy mill dogs. Georgann worked to help all of those baby's in spite of knowing that she had very little time left with her husband Floyd who was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. He was told a few weeks ago that he had very little time left. During that period he told us that he wanted his friends and family to please not send flowers but to please make a donation to YTNR's general fund in his memory. He asked that at the funeral a card be given out with our name and address on it. He didn't want flowers he wanted to support the beloved yorkies that he and his wife have been helping for many years.
