Brewster
ALL HE WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS.....IS A ......FAMILY TO LOVE
Brewster is a  puppy less than a year old and he had a liver shunt. He
came to YTNR with an IV tube still attached to his arm  the owners
took him from the vet to the shelter because they couldn't afford the
surgery.  The shelter gave him to us.  We paid $1800 to get it
repaired,  we do try to recover all of that when we can.  We have
lowered Brewster's adoption fee to $1000 in the hopes of helping him
find his forever home before the holidays.

Meet Brewster, this lucky little puppy was turned over to Yorkshire
Terrier National Rescue with a liver shunt that his parents couldn't
afford to have the surgery on.   His surgery is complete and his
ameroid constrictor in place and his bile acids have returned to
normal.  He is ready willing and able to go to his new home.  If any
of you would like to know more about liver shunts www.LiverShunt.com
has all the available information.   I have been working with Dr Karen
Tobias since she began her initial study into liver shunts and if you
have any questions you can write me privately.

Most of these little puppy's return to a normal life as their liver
continues to regenerate and heal.   We try to encourage people to
continue with a low protein diet,  Solid Gold Holistique Blenz and
mostly vegetarian treats just to make sure that the liver is not being
taxed as it continues to regenerate.

Brewster is in Florida and is ready to find his forever home.  His
medical expenses were $1,800.00,  we need to recuperate some of those
expenses so that when the next liver shunt baby comes along we will be
able to help that one too.  We are offering Brewster for $1,000.00 to a
home that will continue to work with our support group that helps us
take better care of these very special little puppy's.

If you live in another State and are interested in adopting Brewster
please go to our web page www.YTNR.com  and fill out an application to
adopt and put Brewster's name for the dog you are interested in.
Once your application has been approved you must be willing to travel
to Brewster's foster home and meet him to make sure you are a match
for each other.  We always put the best interest of the dog first so
if you two like each other you can take him  home with you that day.

Thank you for wanting to support Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue and
the work we do to help these little dogs in need.
